Thruppence by The Lynton Teddy Bear Company. A lovely antique style teddy bear made from a sparse, distressed pale gold mohair. He is approximately 12" tall and 9" sitting. He is 5-way jointed with a cotter pin joint in his neck and nut and bolt joints in his arms and legs. He is firmly filled with polyfibre stuffing with added steel shot in his fat tummy to give a nice weight.
Thruppence has black glass eyes and an embroidered and waxed black nose. His face has been needle sculpted and subtly shaded to add age and character. He also has shading to add a slightly 'grubby with age look' and some plucked 'worn' patches. His paw pads and waistcoat are made from a lovely soft recycled leather from an old jacket. The leather is a golden brown with dark flecks that has some natural fading from age which enhances his 'old' appearance. His waistcoat is fastened by a small gold safety pin with a genuine 1960 three pence coin attached. Thruppence has my ?Lynton Teddy Bears? fabric label sewn into his back seam and a removable swing ticket.
