About Me

My name is Elaine, a quick 'snapshot' of my personality will reveal that I love animals, have a great passion for design in lots of forms, i.e., garden, home, graphics and I also dream, design and create my edenbears.  I do this with great care an attention to detail using only the best quality materials.  I am inspired by some of the earliest bears from the past and my bears are created with those in mind. Most are very traditional in appearance whilst others, although based on tradition, may be considered to have a little contemporay twist.

I love to experiment with different shapes and proportions and find it a great labour of love.   Everything is sewn by hand from start to finish and I produce only around 12 bears in one year. They vary in size from 6 inches upward and are created mostly from mohair.

You can find out more about myself and my bears on my website :)

In addition to designing and creating my own bears, I operate a Teddy Bear Hospital where I can satisfy my passion to mend and care for old and injured teddy bears and their friends.

Hi Elaine, That is a labour of love sewing everything by hand. Their beauty shines through from you gentle touch. I don't have a garden but I would love to give it a try some year. I so share your love for animals and even at this late hour in the USA my trusty Beagle, Molly is still waiting patiently for me to call it a day and go to bed. I don't know why because she is posting guard from my overstuffed recliner and already sleeping. Have a wonderful Blessed Day. Bear Hugs, Victoria

Hi Elaine, You sound very much like me except I start from a smaller size bear.
My husband and I have a passion for garden and home design tooI . I have recently discovered succulents and am furiously propagating and planning for the new display leading to the front door. The roses are out this winter to make way. I suppose succulents are not so popular in England?
I think your bear have a lot of soul, nice.

Greetings Elaine... Your bears are lovely...you must be very proud of your creations. It sounds as if you put a lot of love and soul into each ted you bring to life. I too, love animals of all sorts. Gardening, home decor and writing are some of my interests outside of being an arctophile. I look forward to seeing more of your bears. I hope you have a lovely Morning. May the flowers begin to bloom & The Robins sing. Bear hugs....Maggie
