History  1992- 2010

Lisa Rosenbaum has been creating original Designs since 1992, trading then under the business name 'Teddy Bear Things.'  In 1994, she registered a new business name 'Oz Matilda' which is now a (Reg.TM).  Having a diverse background studying Law, she also worked for the NSW Police Department, but her heart always remained with her Art. Lisa has been a favoured regular guest Artist on Australia's TV Shopping Network since 1998, promoting the Collectable Industry during 'live on air' one hour shows.

Licensed Walt Disney Artist, Published Writer, Cartoonist, Steiff Collaboration

Not only recognised in the field for Award winning designs, Lisa is also acknowledged as a Published Feature Writer and Cartoonist for Magazines. 'Walt Disney' recognised Lisa's work in 2005 offering a contract as a Licensed Disney Artisan specialising in her own designs incorporating Disney's famous Licenced characters. These special pieces and one of a kind or small limited edition Paintings are Sold through Walt Disney. In 2009 a 4 year Collaboration project between Lisa and the infamous German Company 'Steiff,' released a Special Limited Edition of 1,000 pieces commemorating Margarete Steiff's passing of 100 years with a Portrait painting of Margarete in the Bears belly, each piece was sold for $850usd. Charlie Bears, based in UK were also interested in Lisa designing for their company, six proto types were created for them and mass produced into plush fabrics for the Collectable world wide market.

World Record, Musuems, Awards, Catalogues, Book & Magazine Publication

Lisa's unique and first in the world idea of placing an Oil Hand Painted Canvas into a Teddy Bears Belly broke a World Record for a sole bear artistan in 2003. The Bear sold at Public Auction for usd$17,700 equivalent to aud$24,500. 'The Master Painter,' resides in a Private Collection in Ireland. Lisa has won over 60 first place awards since 1994 within Oz & NZ and for the past 6 years won 4 USA 'TOBY' Industry Choice Awards, 5 USA 'Golden Nomination Awards' and 2 USA 'URSA' Awards. Featured Editorials on Lisa's work are in Antique & Collectable Guide books, Teddy Bear and Doll magazines, Walt Disney Brochures, Steiff Catalogues and chosen for the hardcover book titled 'A Collectable History of the Teddy Bear.' Lisa's work and the Oz Matilda brand are recognised throughout the World having 16 pieces purchased and on display in Musuems. One of a kind and small limited edition Oz Matilda Designs are only available through Specialised Stores within USA, UK, NZ, Germany, France, Canada and Ireland.:)

Hey Lisa, It has been many years since we met at the Premier Bear Fair , Sydney Town Hall when both traded there . I am so pleased to see that you have joined this site. You know I adore your bears and I must say " Benny " still is such a special part of my life...with my name on his arm....he and I will both be apart of each other long after I'm gone. Congrats to you for all you have accomplished recently. I saw the Steiff bear and he is Awesome. He's on my list of must have's.
